the invisible wire

Here's one for all you brains on the board. I wanted to know if there was some trick to making wires invisible on screen, for example, in the Matrix, all their jumping around and stuff was done with wires that were clearly visible on the making of documentary, but totally invisible on the movie.

Is there a special type of wire or filter or something? because every time I use fishing line it looks like crap!

hi there. if you are using fishing line I'm guessing you are moving smaller objects? if so you could try a filter to lower the detail level to make the wire less noticable. or try playing with the lighting to bring the reflection off the wire. if it's bigger objects with think line I'm not sure what you could try (excluding computer programs).
